Analytical Devices

Radiometer ABL90 FLEX

  • The device delivers a full panel of results in approximately 35 seconds: 17 parameters (blood gases, electrolytes, metabolites, and CO-oximetry values) using only ~65 µL of blood.
  • Automatic sample mixing takes only ~7 seconds, making the procedure fast and user-friendly.
  • The system operates on a “plug and play” principle: it is ready for use after inserting a new sensor cassette and reagent pack, simplifying maintenance and service.
Its compact size, color touchscreen, and built-in barcode reader improve sample handling and result output; it is suitable for laboratory, critical care, and point-of-care testing (POCT) environments.
  • The system is fully IT-integrated: after barcode scanning, results can be automatically transmitted to HIS/LIS systems, bedside monitors, and even physicians’ mobile devices when required.

Radiometer ABL9

  • The ABL9 blood gas analyzer is designed for critical care environments and is intended for units performing only a few tests per day.
  • One of its main advantages is its user-friendly design: step-by-step on-screen guidance makes it easy to operate even for less experienced users.
  • It delivers results in approximately 77 seconds using about 70 µL of blood.
  • Measured parameters include pH, pCO₂, pO₂, hematocrit, electrolytes (Ca²⁺, Cl⁻, K⁺, Na⁺), and lactate levels.
  • Due to its small footprint, it can be easily placed in ICU, emergency, or point-of-care settings.
However, it is not designed for high-throughput laboratory use and is more suitable for low daily test volumes.

Radiometer AQT90 FLEX

  • The AQT90 FLEX is a point-of-care (POC) immunoassay analyzer designed for rapid measurement of cardiac, infection, and coagulation biomarkers (e.g., TnI, NT-proBNP, PCT, CRP, D-dimer).
It operates using a “Drop’n’Go” concept — simply placing the sample tube into the device is sufficient, with no manual pipetting or pre-processing required.
  • Results are available within approximately 11–21 minutes depending on the parameter, and the system can initiate up to about 30 tests per hour.
  • The system is fully automated, including reagents, mixing, and calibration; it also supports HIS/LIS connectivity, enabling immediate transfer of results to patient records.
  • AQT90 FLEX is reported to deliver laboratory-quality accuracy while maintaining rapid turnaround time.

Radiometer HemoCue® Hb 801 System

  • The device measures hemoglobin (Hb) levels from capillary or venous whole blood samples.
It provides extremely fast results — in less than 1 second.
  • The device is factory-calibrated and requires no additional calibration, ensuring laboratory-standard accuracy.
  • Only 10 µL of blood is required, making it portable and suitable for field use and bedside testing.
  • The measurement range for hemoglobin is 1.0–25.6 g/dL.
  • With its compact size (approx. 143 × 87 × 45 mm) and lightweight design (under 250 g), it is suitable for both hospital and field environments.
