The MemoPart™ PFO Occluder is a device used to close a Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) in the heart.
It has a self-expanding, double-disc nitinol structure with a connecting segment that allows movement between the discs.
Polyester material is placed within the discs to ensure more effective closure of the defect.
Thanks to its high strength and flexibility, it provides strong support even in large PFOs.
A protective oxide layer on the nitinol prevents the release of nickel ions, ensuring long-term safety.
It is applied using a minimally invasive (catheter-based) procedure and is mainly used in PFO patients who have experienced stroke or TIA.
VSD Occluder
The MemoPart™ VSD Occluder is a self-expanding, double-disc nitinol device used to close ventricular septal defects (VSD) in the heart. The discs are connected by a short waist, which matches the size of the defect, and each disc contains a polyester fabric that reinforces closure.
The device is visible under X-ray imaging, allowing precise monitoring during placement.
For membranous VSDs, it is used via a minimally invasive transcatheter approach to close perimembranous defects. For muscular VSDs, it is designed for patients with large, complex, or multiple defects, especially those with significant left-to-right shunting, pulmonary hypertension, or symptoms of heart failure.
It is also used in high-risk patients (such as failed previous surgery, multiple muscular defects, or challenging anatomy) as an alternative to standard surgical methods.
ASD Occluder
The MemoPart™ ASD Occluder is a self-expanding, double-disc device used to close atrial septal defects (ASD) in the heart.
The device is made of nitinol mesh, a stainless steel bushing, a suture line, and polyester fabric. The discs and short waist are designed according to the size of the defect, and the polyester membrane is securely sewn into both the discs and the waist to ensure complete closure.
The device is visible under X-ray imaging, allowing its placement to be accurately monitored.
Indications: It is used for ostium secundum type ASD and in patients with significant left-to-right shunt causing right ventricular volume overload (1.5:1 or greater shunt ratio).
It is applied via a minimally invasive transcatheter procedure.
PDA Occluder
The MemoPart™ PDA Occluder is a self-expandable nitinol mesh device used for closing Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA).
A retention skirt on the aortic side ensures stable and secure positioning of the device within the ductus. When deployed, the device applies pressure against the vessel walls to close the defect, while the polyester fabric inside promotes thrombosis to achieve complete closure.
Its balanced flexibility and strength provide optimal sealing performance. A protective oxide layer on the nitinol prevents the release of nickel ions and ensures high biocompatibility.
It is used for minimally invasive (percutaneous, transcatheter) non-surgical closure of PDA.
